We recently launched Addo African Clothes, a 100% local and ethical clothing brand creating safari outfits and accessories, made by local women entrepreneurs.
Thanks to Molo Lolo Cooking School and our other projects, we help young people from the townships to get a better start in active life by offering them training and job opportunities in the catering and hospitality industry.
We said no to plastic and found alternatives to replace all plastic products on the property. We started a recycling project in the townships to raise awareness among local communities. Our goal is to become a role model in the '0 waste' practices.
We respect the core values of environmental labels through our organization and everyday behaviour. We aim at respecting and protecting the environment as well as our employees and guests, while providing a great service and unique experience in our properties in Cape Town and Addo. Molo Lolo Group truly cares about creating a friendly atmosphere, whether it is between managers and guests or managers and employees.
We train our staff on an ongoing basis and offer opportunities for personal development and growth, we offer them cooking classes, housekeeping training and provide them with locally made uniforms to give them a strong sense of identity and belonging to the Molo Lolo family. We ensure they feel good at work and encourage open and honest dialogue. We encourage the share of ideas and opinions in the daily operation of the business.
We also want to help the community and act as responsibly as we can to ensure the fair development of local businesses. For example, we created partnerships to promote and support the growth of local businesses of craftsmen and artisans market in South Africa by showing their products in our Properties.
We also contracted with SME and small local businesses for all our renovations works done into our properties. We also developed partnerships with restaurants located in the townships to encourage people to meet with local community. This complies to our vision of a responsible tourism where our patrons get the chance to live a unique cultural experience.
